Waking Up to Pee Multiple Times a Night? It Could Be More Than Aging

Waking up to pee once in a while at night can be normal. Waking up 3–5 times every night is not.

In this Men’s Health Week video, Middy Tilghman, a family nurse practitioner on the mobile medical clinic, explains that this is often brushed off as “just getting older,” but it is usually a sign something else is going on.

It could be an enlarged prostate, diabetes, a urinary problem, or even a sleep issue. Either way, it is not something to ignore or just live with.

If this is happening regularly, it is worth getting checked. There are treatments that can help reduce bathroom trips and improve sleep.

Getting older doesn't have to mean losing sleep every night.
