Floor Mounted commodes are available as
a) One-piece commode where the flush tank an bowl are fused together
b) Two-piece commode which has a separate bowl and tank parts.

Characteristics of floor-mounted commodes
1) Floor-mounted commodes are easy to maintain
2) These commodes are highly affordable
3) Floor-mounted commodes are easy to install
4) They are easy to repair in case of damage
5) Their replacement parts are easily available
6) Floor-mounted commodes take more space than wall-mounted commodes
7) These commodes are not very easy to clean

Wall-Mounted Commodes
1)These commodes give the bathroom a modern an high-en look
2) A floating effect is created by the commode
3) The commode comprises of four parts namely a wall tank, a flush actuator, a toilet bowl and a seat
4) The height of the commode can be adjusted
5) These commodes leave the floor space clear
6) It is highly suitable for compact bathrooms
7) The flushing device is concealed within the wall
8) It gives a clean and uncluttered look
9) The bathroom floor is easier to clean
10) These commodes come with a dual-flush cistern
11) These commodes are very expensive
12) Wall-mounted commodes are fixed on thick walls
