Forest of Argonne - 009 Scale Micro Layout - 03/02/2023

A short running session on my WW1 009 Scale Micro Layout - Forest of Argonne.
The scene depicts fortifications captured by the American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) during the Meuse-Argonne offensive in 1918 - set deep within the Argonne Forest. The layout - which fits inside a wrapping paper storage box - was constructed in a hotel room, over a number of evenings during a prolonged stay in Devon; links to videos of the layout's construction can be seen below.
In this video we see a hive of active with supplies being brought up to the rail-head and bunkers, with returning trains carrying relieved troops from the front.
