How To GROW, HARVEST and COOK Squash [The Easy Way]

Squash is relatively easy to grow and can be grown in a variety of soils and climates.

Squash does need a bit of space to sprawl or trellis and will produce prolific fruits that can be the foundation of soups, savory meals, sautés and are especially good on the grill.

One way to cook squash is to marinade and grill it and in this episode we will share with you one of our favorite ways to cook patty pan squash, flame kissed on the grill.

Patty pan squash grows prolifically here in our soils in Central Texas. At Earth Repairian Labs we had a bumper crop June 2020.

We had few problems with the vine borer as we have had in the past and we chalk that up to consistently working to improve our soils and the heirloom variety seed we purchased and planted in our hugelkultur raised beds.
