! BIG BUCK at 10 yards !

Shaking in the treestand as the biggest buck I've ever seen at this range turns broadside and I don't have the bow available to fill a tag!

I saw this buck in the distance checking out a fresh scrape, called a few grunts and he looked my way. Unfortunately I couldn't bring him in close as he had a doe directly in front of him. There was a small sapling near the treestand out of view of the buck and I smashed it against the main tree of the treestand to get his attention. He looked my way again...but couldn't resist the doe. After 20 minutes of tending to the doe, he chased after lesser bucks....then came right to the treestand.

Congrats to the neighboring hunter who did have his bow ready and within a week of this encounter, harvested this mature buck . Truly a once in a decade buck, maybe even lifetime.
