HEY GIRL HEY!

The protective style challenge is OFFICIALLY STARTING! Wash your hair, deep condition, moisturize, trim and BRAID! GO GO GO!

RULES:
Before you get started, make sure to prep your hair. Deep condition, do protein treatments or trim your ends depending on the state of your hair. That way, you will have your hair in tip top shape for the challenge.

The rules are as followed:
1. Eat a balance diet
2. Drink lots of water (I am drinking 2L a day)
3. Choose from the following options:
-Long term protective styles that last about 4-6weeks OR
-Low manipulative hair styles with ends tucked in for 2 weeks at a time.
(if you feel the need, you can give your hair a break from the long term styles by doing low manipulative styles throughout the challenge. In order words, you can go back and forth between the two options and I will do that as needed)
4. Wash your hair at least 1x a month
5. Deep condition at least once a month NO EXCEPTION. 4C hair craves moisture and deep conditioning is THE WAY TO GO. You don't have to deep condition WHILE you have a protective style in but be sure to do it when you take it down.
6. Moisturize your hair and scalp (Oiling your scalp is optional). I plan to use some sort of spray while I am in a protective style.
7. Finger Detangle (or be very gentle when using a comb)
8. Leave your hair alone (no heat styling, no tight styles, no unnecessary manipulation etc)
9. Take before and after pictures. I will have a little something something for the best growth/ most participation :)
