For the kick-off episode of our "Hometown" series — in which we visit bands' birthplaces and explore how the locales influence their creative vision — Revolver travels to the farmlands of Lancaster, Pennsylvania: the home of metalcore outfit August Burns Red. Watch guitarist JB Brubaker trace ABR's success back to the hardworking ideals inherent in the rural community, while drummer Matt Greiner takes us on a tour of his family's farm — including the egg room practice space where ABR wrote their first album Thrill Seeker — and reveals how he dealt with the guilt of playing metal while his dad was outside harvesting corn.
