I just graduated from UCSD with a Mathematics-Computer Science major. Throughout this video, I go over my experience being a computer science major (or math-computer science major exactly). Alot of people wonder about the difference between a regular computer science major and a mathematics-computer science major. Specifically, at ucsd, computer science and engineering major (CSE) focuses primarily on pure computer science, where as mathematics-computer science focuses on developing more mathematically oriented computer science students.

I've learned to love my major, including both the practical computer science principles as well as the more abstract mathematical topics. This video was inspired by a comment on one of my last videos, so shout out to Mu's for the computer science major suggestion.

Throughout my 4 years at ucsd, I've faced many obstacles and challenges with being a computer science major, including both time commitments on assignments as well as more existential questions about why I want to study mathematics and computer science. I've been very fortunate in my software engineering internships that have helped shape me, and ultimately supported my developing career path.
