Black Panther Suite (Score)

To compose the score of Ryan Coogler's seminal "Black Panther", composer Ludwig Göransson spent a month in Africa researching the local sounds and instruments. Contrary to most (or rather, all) superhero movies, this score implements traditional African instrumentation such as the talking drum, the Fula flute, the sabar drum, the kora and the vuvuzela, as well as traditional African rythms that correspond to the situations portrayed in the movie. On top of establishing individual musical identities for the main characters, as superhero films tend to do, Göransson also established specific sounds for each of the fictional tribes.
