Lioness hunting at masai Mara

Being on safari in Kenya and having a chance to watch lions hunt is the most interesting part of an African safari. Lioness does most of the hunting in the pride with lion being the dominant in the territory does little work.

However lion goes for the fattest areas. His main work is mating and protecting his territory from other lions. Important to note is that once in while he will fight with other males who are out to take the territory and pride from him.

Lioness lost moments is when a new male or lion takes over when having small cabs. Most often the new dominant in the pride will kill cabs of the former lion. So sad but it’s way of making sure only his generation survives.
