This is Cairo (360° VR)

✎ Cairo one of the most densely populated cities in the world and doorway to the majestic pyramids has to be on anyone's bucketlist, but my first day was definitely among the worst travel experiences I've had.
The first thing you are confronted with is money... it seems everyone and I mean everyone from cabdrivers, airport security to good samaritans helping you with directions are trying to scam you out of your money.
I needed a day or two to adjust to the hustler mentality but after you learn how to firmly say no to the many people offering you unwanted services a new world opens up for you.
Once you get passed this barrier you will meet the kindest people who are genuinely interested in you and in sharing the rich culture of Al Qahirah, the local name for Cairo.
There are many different architectural wonders of different cultures and timeperiods to be found in this ancient city.
French architecture dominates at Talaat Harb Square and is reminiscent of Paris.
A distinct Islamic design is found in the Al-Azhar park and it is one of, if not the most beautiful parks I've ever visited.
Besides visiting the last remaining wonder of the ancient world as any tourist I wanted to have a local experience so I took a party faluqa across the Nile river at night and sat down every night with local Egyptians to drink some Turkish coffee and smoke shisha.
My days were packed with sightseeing activities but I haven't even seen half of what Cairo and her people have to offer.

Thank you for the amazing hospitality people of Al Qahirah, you left a lasting impression and I will come back many more times.
