WHAT ARE THE BEST BAKED GOODS TO SELL? | How to Start a Bakery

Are you having a hard time coming up with products to sell in your bakery? Are you constantly struggling to choose the best baked goods to sell?

Well, I’ve got you covered! Throughout this video, I'm going to share with you my tips and advice on choosing the best bakery products to sell for your business.

When we first opened our shop we had the intentions of being only a cookie shop. But our customers had other plans. What we learned is, you have to adapt and give the customers what they want if you want to succeed! So instead, we decided to offer more items beyond cookies to serve the majority of our market. Now, we've expanded from cookies to cakes and even ice cream!

But always be mindful about the thin line between "more variety" and "too much variety". Despite offering something new, DO NOT confuse your customers! What I mean by that is even though they were all clamouring for “more variety,” they really only consistently bought a handful of the different items offered.

So the challenge is deciding on what baked goods should you sell.

Brandon and I graduated college in May 2016 and were living in my car when we started a late night cookie delivery service in my college town. I had to beg a local bagel shop to let us use their kitchen in their off hours to get our start. Now our business is making more money then we could have ever imagined. Our first storefront launched in September 2017 and now the second one will launch in December 2018! We are moving fast to build this business but come along the journey and I promise it'll be fun!

There's been a lot of obstacles and hurtles to jump over, but the journey of being an entrepreneur has been incredible. We will keep hustling and pushing for our goals each and every day. We've been showing our journey since day 1 so people can learn and grow from our successes and mistakes.
