Meco Hand Crank Solar Powered Flashlight Unboxing

Meco sent me their hand crank solar powered emergency survival flashlight to try out and review.

I was surprised to find the small size considering it is a hand crank device. But it has all the functions you need in an emergency so that is what matters.

This small flashlight has three ultra bright LEDs to help light up the night in an emergency. I can see this being used for grid down scenarios as a quick grab and go flashlight.

You can keep it charged up using its built in solar panel or by using the built in hand crank. This makes it quite useful for emergencies.

The hand crank emergency flashlight also has a carabiner of sorts to allow you to clip it onto your belt or backpack.

The LEDs are rated at 10,000 MCD and last up to 100,000 hours of use.

The built in battery is rated at 40 mAh and lasts for 120 minutes of light, which is not bad for a small light. Hand cranking at night will of course extend this.

The solar panel is rated at 1 volt and 2mA. So simple math tells you that it can recharge the device from fully discharged in about 20 hours. Not bad at all for its size.

I will be field testing the Meco emergency hand crank flashlight and I will make a full video review when done. So stay tuned.
