March Shop Life 🦈🦾 March marked the beginning of sculpting and assembling the life-size, 52ft-long Megalodon shark for the HMNS SHARKS exhibit! The Meg is made of 50 robot arm sculpted parts clad with plywood and connected to a beefy steel sub-structure. Each sculpted part was meticulously sanded, hard-coated, bondo-ed, primed, dry-fitted, seamed, and disassembled before heading to the museum for installation and final paint. The team also hand-sculpted and painted a large underwater cave wall; finalized multiple 3D-printed smaller replica sharks; and continued prototyping numerous interactive exhibits for Chambers County Children's Museum.
