PostgreSQL is a very popular open source relational database, within Amazon you can deploy scalable deployments in a very short time and it's very cost effective.
In this video you'll learn how to deploy a PostgreSQL database in AWS (Amazon Web Services) RDS service (Relational Database Services), Nick will show you how to achieve this in the AWS console.
We'll walk through the options available as you create your instance, after launching the instance we'll connect to it over the internet via a public address configured during the deployment process.
Using SQL Workbench and a jdbc database driver we'll connect to the database.
