Saturn Farm in Ogden, Illinois received a USDA SARE grant to test three methods of alley cropping with black currant production: asparagus, rhubarb, and native prairie strips. This video demonstrates the results of interplanting these species between rows of machine-harvested black currants and describes the potential for overyielding.
