Today, I document the tale of buying this virgin 1962 Gibson Les Paul (SG) from the original family. This was a really fun acquisition that was outside of my usual wheelhouse that also taught me a VERY important and valuable lesson!

Unfortunately, the slug coil side of the neck pickup died so the pickup will need to be rewound. I've since sent it off to Fralin pickups to have this done. The "demo" you hear is with crazy gain and the audio boosted in post and even then we only got a "clean" tone. I also ordered a 60s SG case for it.
