Dominique Ansel Cronut Review (NYC Food Tour Part 2)

The day has come! To review the original Cronut! The pastry that put Dominique Ansel on the map! Half croissant, half doughnut, whole party in my mouth! I finally decided to take my chances and try the Cronut pre-order. Server crashes and all, you will see what it takes to get your hands on a Cronut. During the process, I felt like a miniature poodle trying to jump through Dominique Ansel's little hoops, but I finally made it and my prize was little piece of Strawberry Rhubarb heaven.

This is hopefully one of the last dessert videos I make this season, so watch me stuff my face full 'o pastries for the last time or until next time! Feel free to watch this video while you yourself are waiting for the server to crash on you during the next cornet pre-order Monday. Speaking of which, did I mention how to find the cornet pre-order page? Well, here it is!

It starts Monday at 11 am EST (sharp...or until the server fails)

If you really want to get your hands on a Cronut, plan at least 2 weeks in advance. I also would recommend waiting for the server to clear. I was most successful at about 12:30pm. Around an hour and a half after the Cronut page is available to order from (or not available to order from, as in my personal experience).

BTW the flavor for May is Sweet Clementine and Ricotta. I was lucky enough to try April's flavor during the last week of April, which was Strawberry Rhubarb and Thyme. So delicious! Until next time!
