How to: Metal Bass Tone

Chain: Bass --- Compressor --- Preamp --- Pc/Cabinet/Whatever.
I didn't have a sound interface at the time, but if you have one at your disposal - use it.

This topic has been requested numerous times so I decided to make a short tutorial on how I achieve my tone.
The song is Leave Me Alone by Deralian.
Equipment: bass Carvin LB75a, behringer bdi 21, MXR M87 Bass Compressor, ernie ball .130 5-string steel.
