Miessie and her BFF Eve, Safaripark Beekse Bergen 10 Feb 2020

The gorillas in SBB live together with a small family of black crested mangabeys (mom with two daughters; dad died in 2018, as soon as the youngest girl is old enough, a new male will join them). Miessie is very close with the youngest one, Eve. This was the first time I saw Eve grooming Miessie and I loved every second of it!!

A few things:
- The gorillas have access to an island, but with bad weather they decide themselves to stay in.
- You don't hear the gorillas because a) they're behind glass and b) they hardly make any sounds and if they do, we can't hear it since the sounds are very soft.
