The True Geordie Podcast gets its first female guest and she is a very special person indeed. Holly Matthews is an actress and entrepreneur, She started her career in the hit BBC children's drama Byker Grove. She left the show in 2003 to pursue a singing career after signing to Sony UK. She appeared on various TV shows including MTV.
She attended the British drama school East 15 in 2005, and left after winning a high-profile role in the BBC drama Waterloo Road. Since that role, Matthews has continued to act in BBC's Doctors and in ITV's The Bill.
Matthews works as a personal Business and Mindset Coach to female entrepreneurs and creatives. In the last year she documented her husband's battle with cancer in a series of YouTube Vlogs which were very powerful and now she tells her story on the True Geordie Podcast.
