TUPOLEV TU-154 LANDING with OPEN REVERSERS before TOUCHDOWN + TU154 DEPARTURE (4K)

What a pleasure to see and hear a Tupolev 154 in 2019. Last week we had the pleasure to see this extremly rare TU154 at cologne, where it was based for a week. The Captain of this aircraft was awesome. He didn` t care about the active runways and just requested the runway he would like to get. Even when runway 06 / 14 were open he requested runway 24, which was just perfect for me and my video. The first clip shows the arrival of the Tupolev 154 right above my head. The sound was just epic and right before touchdown the crew opened the reversers about 4 seconds before touching the ground. It` s quite characteristic for the Tu154 but I have never filmed it before.

When I was younger I used to watch lots of TU154 at my home airport DUS and it was always a pleasure to listen to these classic engines. I even used my external mic for the departure to deliver the sound feeling as good as possible. So turn up the volume and enjoy the sound of this classic jetliner.
