Donald Trump was 'absolutely right' on China

Former Victorian Liberal Party President Michael Kroger says former US president Donald Trump "was absolutely right," in that it is a joke that China - the second biggest economy in the world - is still a "developing" nation.

In early 2020, the then US president, Donald Trump, said China had taken advantage of America, and other countries.

Mr Trump claimed that the US should also be declared a 'developing nation,' considering that China was considered one.

Mr Kroger spoke with Sky News, discussing the fact China is still a 'developing nation'.

"If you're able to invest billions and billions of dollars in over a hundred countries around the world - there's not many nations that are rich enough to do that," Mr Kroger said.

"The whole thing is a joke".
