How to Draw THE JOKER (The Dark Knight) | Narrated Easy Step-by-Step Tutorial

Some would argue that this is the best JOKER iteration of all time. It's not hard to see why -- Heath Ledger did a spectacular job of portraying Batman's most infamous arch-nemesis in the film, The Dark Knight.

Nowadays, Heath Ledger's Joker is universally loved. He received a lot of praise and won accolades for this role. But it wasn't always like this. Back in 2006, NOBODY wanted Heath Ledger to play the Joker. He was too much of a teen heartthrob to be taken seriously.

"Joker is seriously a screwed up character and I don't think that Ledger has what it takes to portray that," said one commenter.

But we all know what happened next. The Dark Knight was a huge hit, commercially and critically. And ironically one of the highlights of the film was The Joker himself. Unfortunately Ledger passed away before he got universal recognition for the role.
