Nguyen Hue Walking Street Saigon Vietnam Sees Large Crowds On Reunification Day!

Hello Everyone! Here is video from my visit to Nguyen Hue Walking Street in Saigon Ho Chi Minh City on Reunification day Friday April 30. Even though there are lockdowns now in Saigon, many people still came to Nguyen Hue street to celebrate reunification day. Everyone was in a very festive mood and there was a mixture of young people, and families who enjoyed their evening out.

Over a week prior to April 30th, streets in big cities like Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City are decorated with colorful banners, flags, and neon lights. Also, celebration areas are prepared—they could be places for a parade, or the stage for a national live show.

When Reunification Day is on, major cities are at their quietest as people return to their hometown to enjoy the day with their beloved family.
