Including that of the Giant House Spider.

With impressive speeds of around half a metre per second, these fast and fuzzy legged invertebrates may look intimidating as far as UK spiders go, but in truth they just want a warm place to stay, food and a mate. Seeking the things in life that most of us can relate to.

This sweet one was likely struck down by our cat, who left them for us to find this morning. Placed at our pet burial log in the garden, with some beautiful reddening leaves under the gentle pitter-patter of rain.
