Catch A Big Carp From Canoe/Kayak Challenge (Winter Special Edition) + Chatty Blackbirds

This episode was filmed in December at the beginning of Winter. It is a warmish 48 degree day, so I challenge myself to try to catch a Carp from my canoe. Can I catch a carp with persistence and alot of patience?

Plus, I see a cluster of noisy blackbirds in the trees.

In the end, I am proud of the result because I set a goal for this specific fish and achieved it. Fishing for carp is very different from fishing for bass. It requires alot more patience and stealth. Carp are very easily spooked. Most people fish from the shoreline with hair rigs, but I used a live worm on a dropdhot rig from a canoe. I also have to thank mother nature for giving me a calm sunny day on the water.
