Bush flying at its best flying the Smoky mountains.

This spring if we took a trip to the southern US. we were hoping to fly out to Idaho, and get some bush flying in. Instead we ended up in the Smoky mountains the second day. The weather window never opened up. so on short notice we put a trip together that would take us down to South Carolina the outer banks back up into Ohio and home. we put this trip together in 3 hours and then started on our way. needless to say we had no plans for lodging, only a few people to reach out to to help us find exciting flying when we arrived, in hopes that we would have a good time. This trip was beyond a good time. The Stinson 108 and the super stol we're welcomed with open arms everywhere we went. people gave us their hanger floor to sleep in, access to their club houses, vehicles to use, we wanted for nothing in the entire trip. This video documents the first two days. I hope we can go back and fly Idaho sometime. but I'm sure happy I had the opportunity to fly the Smoky mountains, Central South Carolina, and the outer Banks.
