Military PCS Update for Military Families: Personal Property Changes Explained

A new Military PCS personal property update was announced, and here’s what it could mean for military families Have you heard about the new PCS reform? Are we hopeful?

@secwar announced the Personal Property Activity to fix all the issues service members and families have while PCSing. Issues that have existed for, well, ever.

According to Pentagon reports the Personal Property Activity will:

* Standardize and improve household goods movement so belongings arrive reliably, on time, and in good condition.

* Be a central point of accountability for PCS moves

* Provide quality service and predictability for service members and military families during PCS moves wherever they are stationed.

* Streamline the process end-to-end, rather than having fragmented moving contracts and practices.
