Metal Casting at Home Part 38, Thin Section Casting

This video shows how the fan guard for my Stove Fan is cast. Because it is a thin section a large feeder is used to keep the metal liquid whilst it flows around the mould. The 3 spokes also aid the metal flow and provide strength to the pattern.
