ADC Presents: Minority Business Development Project Launch

The launch of the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee's (ADC) Minority Business Development Project! ADC Legislative & Policy Coordinator Chris Habiby explains what the Project is, its goals, and its two primary pieces. He describes what types of information ADC is looking to collect through the Minority Business Development Questionnaire, and how we plan on engaging with the community to ensure a robust and accurate data set. He will also dive into what the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) is and how recognition from this agency will empower and support Arab American business owners and entrepreneurs.

After ADC’s presentation, Edens Duphresne from the Export Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) gives a presentation on what federal services are currently available to our community. EXIM recognizes Arab Americans as an underserved community, allowing Arab American-owned businesses to access EXIM specialists who work with minority, women, veteran, and disabled-owned businesses (MWOBs), helping them access EXIM financing.
