AI Literacy Without Students Ever Touching AI

You don't have to let your students anywhere near AI for AI to help them write better.

Some districts have limited student AI tools. Some are choosing which ones students can use. Some have no limits at all. Either way, AI literacy means knowing how to use it appropriately and knowing that it makes mistakes and gives false information.

Run the feedback yourself, then have students decide whether they agree with what the AI said about their writing. That's evaluating AI, and they never touched the tool.
