Expedition Ge Force oped in June of 2001 and it’s one of the largest rollercoasters in all of Europe. At it’s max capacity, this rollercoaster can take 1,300 passengers every hour.

X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain, Valencia, Calif.
X2 opened in January of 2002, the X2 bills itself as the world's first 4th Dimension roller coaster. The X2 is the most popular ride in the park, with wait times often exceeding two hours. Well it’s not just because this roller coaster goes at 76 mph, it’s the X2’s ability to disorient passengers. The seats of the X2 independently rotate. Riders go from laying on the backs to facing backwards to flying forwards, making the X2 one of the most unique roller coasters in the world.

Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion, Doswell, Va. and Fury 325 at Carowinds Charlotte, N.C. The intimidator 305 debuted in April of 2010. Kings Diminoion invested over 25 million dollars in this one ride. The intimidator gets its name for Dale Earnheart, whose nickname was The Intimidator. It’s so fast that when you get to the bottom of the hill and turn your body is pulling 5 G’s.

Insanity: Stratosphere Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas
Scary rides aren’t just limited to roller coasters. For a truly terrifying experience, you have to go to the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

X-Scream
Also located at the top of the the Stratosphere is the X-Scream. Just like Insanity, X scream gets its thrills by dangling passengers off the edge of the building. But X-Scream is even more terrifying than Insanity.

Kingda Ka at 6 FlagsGreat Adventure in Jackson, NJ.
Kingda Ka has only has one purpose, to shoot passengers out as fast as possible. And it delivers on that promise. As both the tallest and the fastest rollercoaster in the world, Kingda Ka launches passengers at 128 mph in only 3.5 seconds. The length of the track is only 456 feet, meaning you can complete the entire track in only 28 seconds.

Human Trbuchet
The Human Trebuchet is probably the scariest ride ever invented. It was built at Middlemoor Water Park in the U.K. You’ll be flung at 60 mph into a net 75 feet away. The ride proved so dangerous that it had to be shut down. Early on, only minor injuries occurred. But that changed when a 19 year old Oxford student named Dino Yankov was flung out of the catapult and missed the safety net, killing him.
