For a rich historical account on what the followers of Jesus endured after Christ’s death until 1798 consider the book “The Great Controversy.” Though the oppressive and persecuting office of the Papacy was put to an end by Napoleon in 1798, the book tells how her persecuting spirit returns and shall worsen until the end of time. History shall repeat itself.

Though I have read a fair number of historical books, I have not found anything like this one. It goes through history under a Biblical Worldview; a perspective I never knew before. Another great one is Fox’s Book of Martyrs. We know that those that follow Christ will endure persecution: always. If you are not persecuted for your beliefs, they may not be the right beliefs, for truth is never popular.

Many have asked where is this excerpt from. I don’t have that answer. I saw this documentary once on TV, felt impressed to record what I was watching with my phone and uploaded it here. I’m sorry to say I never caught the name of the program. If anyone knows, please comment below.
