Missing Oregon woman found safe after running out of gas, catching ride from unidentified driver

An Oregon woman who went missing Saturday night after running out of gas on a Marion County highway has been found safe, Oregon State Police said Friday.

Maria Linda Jade Kilmer, 28, went missing after her car ran out of gas on Oregon 22 around 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oregon State Police said. Kilmer’s family was told she got into an unidentified person’s car and left her friend and belongings behind, despite knowing family members were on their way to help her, they said.
