Why I Prefer Profiles Over Learning Algorithms with Insulin Pump Technology

As a Diabetes Educator/Registered Dietitian and someone who has had diabetes for 28 years, I've used all systems and I'm not convinced we are there YET with learning algorithms because most people have significant changes in their insulin needs from day to day. Therefore, my preference is to use profiles and a closed loop system that works on top of the activated profile.
