Filler Episodes • The best thing about Y2K TV

Filler episodes have all but vanished in the modern age of streamlined, streaming TV shows. Growing up in the 1990s and 2000s, filler episodes were a very real part of watching syndicated TV.

Some of our favourite episodes of our favourite TV shows happen to be filler episodes. We love that being unshackled from needing to push the bigger narrative forward, these episodes could go in any direction.

Today we're going to look at five episodes of the cream of the crop of syndicated 90s and 2000s TV. These episodes won't make Watchmojo’s top 10 episodes lists. But they're some of the most fun, most interesting, and most creative episodes of TV, which would be overlooked if you were only interesting in following the main story.
