Apex Legends Take Over as Streamers Quit - August 6th, 2021 - Respawn Recap

This week on the Recap, Halo battle royale leaks, are gaming PC’s really being banned, and how Apex Legends is taking over from Warzone.

A data mined voice line from the Halo Infinite technical preview appears to be Halo announcer Jeff Steitzer saying “Battle Royale” just like he would say “Slayer” at the start of a multiplayer map. With streamers like Nickmercs, DrDisRespect, and Courage all begging for a Halo battle royale, this news could mean that the very least a battle royale is being seriously considered for the game.

Gaming fans were panicked when recently headlines touted a gaming PC ban, but it turns out most gamers should not be affected. The Ban is only for pre-built PC’s like you would get from Alienware or Corsair, and only on their high end models. And more importantly, the companies have already made the changes to bypass the ban, and should all be shipping PC’s as normal in a matter of weeks.

And With Nickmercs, DrDisRespect, TimTheTatman and more all jumping off of Warzone and onto Apex Legends, Apex has seen a massive spike in popularity. This past week Apex had more viewers than Warzone for the first time in forever, and with Nick, Doc, Tim and more playing Apex Legends for the foreseeable future, the trend may only continue.
