On Episode 6 of SAWDUST, we head behind the scenes to talk metal and woodcraft.

We start out at a custom home that we built a few years back. Project Manager Doug Blaine shows us where the homeowner has asked for new floating shelves. Installing them post build will impose a few challenges, but Riley has a solution. Follow him step-by-step as he creates new shelves to fit the streamlined space with the structural support they need.

Next, we'll meet up with lead carpenter Nate Stockard for a look at s his Toolbelt… um wait, no… his Tool-VEST.

We end the episode with our “Metal Found Me” interview. Jason Senior shares his insights on choosing a career in the metal trades, his fascination with the material, and a “how to” on the metal fabrication and installation process for the standing seam roof at our waterfront project in Narragansett, RI.
