Mark Wood arrangement of Africa by Toto!

Africa by Toto! Behind the scenes view! I've been working on a new orchestral arrangement for my Mark Wood Rock Orchestra Camp (MWROC) and wanted to give you a glimpse into how I arrange my music. I start by sketching out the parts on my piano. Then I start to notate the parts and divi them up to a string orchestra. The final step is to master and play each part individually with my 7 string viper: Bass, Cello, Viola, and then Violins. My favorite part is the viola..check out the notation…This is the time consuming part. Not only making sure they are playable but equally important, the best voicing for the song.
