iPhone 6 Battery Replacement | Guide | Keep your current phone longer!

Today I'll be performing what may be the easiest iPhone repair yet, a battery replacement. Replacing the battery in your phone is a great way to keep your device up and running for years to come. Most devices are replaced by consumers when the battery stops holding a charge as well as it used to. One common misconception I hear daily is that changing the battery will wipe your data, this couldn't be further from the truth. This wasn't the case when batteries were "removable" so why would it be any different today?

Disconnecting the battery is no different than turning the phone off and back on. iPhone batteries are very inexpensive, and the part itself only costs about $10-$20. Even with little to no experience under their belt, the average person can safely perform this repair. That is, as long as the "magic" pull tabs haven't lost their magic. If they break, don't worry. A little heat and isopropyl alcohol will let you safely extract the old cell. New ones often come with precut adhesive, but a small strip of double sided tape will get the job done just as well.
