Dragon Hand Puppet

Use your fingers and hands to make a Dragon Puppet.

I learned this from a Vietnamese exchange student back in the late 70s at our grade school and it has stuck with our extended family ever since.

Basically, the instructions are:

Pinkies - lined straight up to form the tail spine
Ring Fingers - rigidly held crossed over one another to form the eyes
Middle Fingers - wrapped over the ring finger eyes to form the eye brows
Index Fingers - rigidly straight placed UNDER the eyes to form the nose
Thumbs - brought together to form the lower jaw of the mouth

Some variations are also included in the video such as the Bull Dog, Snake and a reverse dragon so you can point outward from yourself more easily.

It works great to swim under water and stick the dragon hand puppet up out of the water in a sea dragon or loch ness monster type fashion and chase kids around with while swimming.
