Morocco meets Germany | International collaboration for sustainable job creation

From strangers on Monday to a newfound community by Friday.

This is the experience our Make it Work Morocco participants and mentors had in Morocco this week. We set off to the countryside in Marrakech for two days of knowledge exchange, focusing on business analysis, challenges and opportunities.

9 entrepreneurs from Morocco met their mentors from Germany, Egypt and Tunisia for the first time. Within hours, meaningful connections started to prosper.

Over the two days, they connected with their peers, exchanged with other mentors, and started setting up their roadmap for sustainable growth and EU Market entry.

Our personal highlight was the storytelling night, where people shared a piece of themselves that showed who they are and why they do what they do. It was a testament to how much trust was already built. That was only possible because everyone showed up with genuine intentions, curiosity and openness to share.

Following the bootcamp, the mentors visited their mentees’ businesses across Morocco, getting to know their teams and operations, and setting the next steps ahead of the upcoming delegation to Berlin this summer.
