The 2020 Scalia Lecture | Mary Ann Glendon: Who Needs Foreign Law?

The Justice Antonin Scalia Lecture series was established in 2013 by an anonymous donor to promote and advance the understanding of the founding principles and core doctrines of the U.S. Constitution. This year, Mary Ann Glendon, Learned Hand Professor of Law at HLS, spoke on the use of foreign law in constitutional adjudication. A former U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See, Glendon writes and teaches in the fields of human rights, comparative law, and political theory.
