Russia: Putin enjoys ice cream at MAKS 2021

Russian President Vladimir Putin treated himself to ice cream at the MAKS 2021 air show outside Moscow on Tuesday.

The president and his entourage took a break from watching a range of demonstration flights to indulge their sweet tooths at the Zhukovsky International Airport.

Russian Vice Premier Yuri Borisov can be heard asking Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov whether he had paid for the ice cream.

At the previous MAKS air show in 2019, Putin also treated his guest of honour, Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan with ice cream.

The biennial MAKS expo has been held since 1993. It exhibits the latest in aerospace and defence technology from Russian and foreign enterprises.
