VICE Meets Indian Supermodel Bhumika Arora

It’s fair to say modelling came as a shock to Bhumika Arora’s parents. Growing up in small town India, becoming an international model isn’t really something that happens everyday. Hell, it’s not something that happens everyday anywhere, but especially here - where conservatism rules, being tall isn’t particularly attractive and you’re already studying for a prestigious business degree. Flash forward to today, however, and 27-year old Bhumika Arora is lighting up runways all over the world, both in touch with her Indian heritage and embracing the opportunities opening up around her. We meet Bhumika in her adopted home of New York to talk how a girl from Karnal became one of the most in demand new models in the world.
