Husqvarna 254xp Crank and Bearing Installation" Chicken Chit 2 Chicken Soup Saw" (CC2CS)

Scrambled eggs philosophy of building a fun small 54cc saw from a pile of left over parts. Popup piston, Cut cylinder base; muffler mod, new bearings and seals. Also in this video /saw build had to use an Oxy/Acetylene torch, an Atlas Lathe, Epoxy, and Helicoils to finish salvaging this saw.....basic shop skills.

The point of this video to me is more than just going through and talking about 254's. This is about running into obstacles that many shops would just stop at and tell you to trash the saw...or if many would run into as they play with hobby saws builds, would give up and throw away that saw away. To me working though these issue proves a few things. First is that even with things like chips and broken parts, if they are compromised in areas that don't severely effect function....for a hobby saw?? Use them. Save the wear and tear on your new expensive iron. Second going this "next" level into shop skill really isn't rocket science and is actually fun. A lot of these skills USED to be commonplace with farm folks, motorsports folks, and just the naturally mechanically inclined. The tools are readily available....why not learn them and expand the capability to enhance the saw hobby? Or any other mechanical type interest BTW
