Himno Nacional de Chile - The National Anthem of Chile (versión I)

También denominado "Canción Nacional", su primera versión, compuesta por Manuel Robles y el poeta Bernardo de Vera y Pintado, data de 1819. Debutó el 20 de agosto de 1820, en el teatro Domingo Arteaga y, desde entonces, ha estado presente en las festividades de septiembre y diversos eventos oficiales. Esta versión fue reemplazada en 1828, por una compuesta por Ramón Carnicer y letra de Eusebio Lillo, teniendo hoy seis partes además del coro.

It is also known as "National Song" (Canción Nacional). The first hymn dates back to 1819, composed by Manuel Robles and the poet Bernardo de Vera y Pintado. It debuted on August 20th of 1820 in the Domingo Arteaga theater, being always played and sung during the festivities of September and diverse official events. This National Song was sung until 1828, when it was replaced by the current version, composed by Ramón Carniner with words by Eusebio Lillo, having now six parts plus the chorus.
