HOW TO TRIM YOUR OWN HAIR | Trimming my natural hair when straight

In this video I will be showing you how to trim your own hair. This time I will be trimming my natural hair when straight rather than blow dried. Instead of doing a blunt cut, I cut my hair into layers because I find it more flattering when I wear my curls.

It is recommended to have a haircut every 3 months so that split ends don't travel upwards. I used to cut mine more often but now I only cut it every 6 months because I do a lot of low manipulation hairstyles, but if you do a lot with your hair, you should get trims regularly to maintain the health of your hair.
