New 2024 Renault Duster Hybrid - Best Budget SUV | Dacia Duster

Renault's budget-oriented brand, Dacia, has globally unveiled the third-generation Duster. The new SUV is based on the CMF-B platform, drawing design inspiration from the Dacia Bigster concept. It will first hit the European markets in 2024,

The latest design showcases a sleek rectangular front, sporting thicker LED headlights for a modern touch. The front bumper adopts a more assertive stance with slim air intakes on each side of the lower grille. A stylish grey accent outlines the grille, incorporating fog lights and featuring a sharper, angular design

At the sides, the design is all new and features squared-off wheel arches with roof rails. The SUV also sports newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels. The SU also gets body cladding all around which adds ruggedness and character to the SUV. Moving back, it gets V-shaped LED taillights with a Y-shaped signature. The SUV also features a rear skid plate and it also gets an integrated roof spoiler. The design overall is very unique and minimalistic.

The interior of the 2024 Renault Duster has been completely revamped.
new Duster has a double-layer dashboard that gets light and dark grey shades. The centre console is angled slightly towards the driver. Higher variants will get two digital screens – a 7-inch one for driver information and a 10.1-inch touchscreen for infotainment duties. A horizontal panel below the centre AC vents houses multiple buttons that control the HVAC system.

The three-spoke steering wheel looks chunky and seems to have quite a few buttons for infotainment, telephony and cruise control duties. The new Duster’s boot can hold up to 472 litre of luggage.

Features on the top-spec Duster will include wireless charging and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic climate control, and an Arkamys 3D sound system with six speakers. Interestingly, the new Duster will also feature ADAS technology

The new-gen Duster comes with multiple powertrain options including hybrid and LPG.The first comes in the form of a 130PS, 1.2-litre petrol powertrain paired to a 48V mild hybrid system. The other is a strong hybrid powertrain comprising a 140PS 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired to two electric motors and a 1.2kWh battery pack.

Lastly, the Duster offers the ECO-G 100, a turbo 1.0-liter three-cylinder that packs two 13.2-gallon tanks, one of which holds gasoline and another that holds liquefied petroleum gas . Dacia claims that running on LPG releases 10 percent less carbon dioxide than gasoline, and the Duster can switch between the two fuel sources at the press of a button.
